The clean flat exterior sits beneath the crown of the post assembly with no external locator features, while a single interior channel with symmetrical infill-retention features runs the full length of the profile to secure composite, vinyl, or aluminum infill boards at the panel top. Panel positioning is handled from below through the matching Bottom Rail’s integrated locator tongue, allowing the Top Rail to serve as a pure crown profile. Compatible with both the 2-3/4 inch Standard Post and the 4-inch Commercial (HP) Post. A three-slot design with 13/16 inch wide universal slot openings allows the same post to serve four distinct configurations: as an end post using one slot to terminate a run, as a line post using two opposing slots for a straight run, as a corner post using two adjacent slots for a 90-degree turn, and as an intersection post using all three slots where a perpendicular run meets a straight run. The 13/16 inch slot dimension is the universal engagement standard across the modular system, ensuring precise fit between the post, rails, infill boards, and matching side covers. Unused slots are closed off with the matching Side Post Cover, sold separately. The 6.5-foot length serves residential fence design heights up to 6 feet and gives the builder design flexibility at the top of the run: the strip can terminate flush with the panel for a clean uniform top line, or extend the post slightly above the panel to articulate the vertical rhythm along the fence. The 13/16 inch channel size is consistent across both the 2-3/4 inch Standard Post and the 4-inch Commercial (HP) Post, so a single filler strip specification serves both fence post configurations; it does not apply to gate posts. The Greenwood Fence (GWF®) 6×6 (150mm) Gate Post is a matte black powder-coated aluminum extrusion engineered as the primary structural post for the GWF gate system. Manufactured from 6063-T5 architectural-grade aluminum with an AAMA powder coating, the post measures 6×6 inches (150mm) over a 10-foot length (3 meters) with 3mm (11 gauge) wall thickness. Two integrated channels run the full length of one face, allowing hinge hardware to be positioned freely along the vertical axis for flexibility on gate height, weight distribution, and site conditions. The same two-channel profile serves the latch side on the opposite post, receiving strike or latch hardware with equivalent adjustability. This 6×6 profile is the larger of the two Gate Post options and is engineered for single gates over 4 feet wide and all double-gate configurations, where the increased gate mass demands a heavier structural post. Two integrated channels run the full length of one face, allowing hinge hardware to be positioned freely along the vertical axis for flexibility on gate height, weight distribution, and site conditions.
