Universal Fence Panel Receiver

The Greenwood Fence (GWF®) U-Channel Kit is a matte black powder-coated aluminum receiver profile engineered as a universal slot for the modular fence panel wherever a Greenwood post is not available or not desired within the Modular Composite Fence and Gate System. The kit includes one 6.5-foot U-channel, one matching cover strip that conceals all mounting fasteners for a clean finished exterior, three self-tapping mounting screws, and one aluminum bracket for secondary structural support at the base. The primary designed application is at gate post terminations, where the U-channel mounts to the gate post face and creates the receiver slot for the fence run’s terminating panel. The same U-channel also serves as a complete substitute for a fence post in three additional scenarios: between existing brick, stone, or masonry pillars where the U-channel mounts to the facing surfaces of the pillars and receives the infill panel between them; retrofitted onto existing older posts (wood, metal, or otherwise) that a property owner wishes to preserve rather than replace; and in specialized installations using compatible 3/4-inch third-party infill materials alongside or in place of standard Greenwood boards. Across every application the U-channel delivers the same clean architectural detailing: infill boards or rails slide into the channel, self-tapping screws secure them through the side wall, and the cover strip snaps into place to conceal all hardware from the exterior view. Concrete or masonry anchor screws for pillar and wall installations are sold separately and sized to the substrate. For fence heights above 6 feet, an 8.5-foot U-Channel Kit is available.
