Gate Post, 10 Feet, 4×4 (100mm), Matte Black Aluminum, Integrated Hinge Channels

The Greenwood Fence (GWF®) 4×4 (100mm) Gate Post is a matte black powder-coated aluminum extrusion engineered as the structural post for single composite gates 4 feet wide or less within the GWF gate system. Manufactured from 6063-T5 architectural-grade aluminum with an AAMA powder coating, the post measures 4×4 inches (100mm) over a 10-foot length (3 meters) with 3mm (11 gauge) wall thickness. Two integrated channels run the full length of one face, allowing hinge hardware to be positioned freely along the vertical axis for flexibility on gate height, weight distribution, and site conditions. The same two-channel profile serves the latch side on the opposite post, receiving strike or latch hardware with equivalent adjustability. This 4×4 profile is the smaller of the two Gate Post options and is designed for narrower single gates and for installations where a more discreet gate post is aesthetically preferred. The 4×4 scale delivers clean architectural presence without the visual weight of the larger post, making it well suited to residential entry gates, garden gates, and side-yard access points where restraint is the design goal. For wider single gates over 4 feet and all double-gate configurations, the 6×6 (150mm) Gate Post is available. Designed for in-ground embedment or surface mounting to suitable substrates, engineered to the load requirements of the specific gate configuration.
