Standard Modular Fence Post
The Greenwood Fence (GWF®) 2-3/4 inch Standard Post is a matte black powder-coated aluminum extrusion engineered as the primary structural post of the Modular Composite Fence and Gate System. Manufactured from 6063-T5 architectural-grade aluminum with an AAMA powder coating, the post measures 2-3/4 inches square over a 10-foot length with 1.5mm (16 gauge) double-chambered walls for structural integrity across residential fence heights up to 6 feet. A three-slot design with 13/16 inch wide universal slot openings allows the same post to serve four distinct configurations: as an end post using one slot to terminate a run, as a line post using two opposing slots for a straight run, as a corner post using two adjacent slots for a 90-degree turn, and as an intersection post using all three slots where a perpendicular run meets a straight run. The 13/16 inch slot dimension is the universal engagement standard across the modular system, ensuring precise fit between the post, rails, infill boards, and matching side covers. Unused slots are closed off with the matching Side Post Cover, sold separately. This single SKU replaces the three separate post variants typical of aluminum fence systems, consolidating inventory and configuration decisions into one universal part. Designed for in-ground embedment or surface mounting to concrete slabs, patios, decks, and other prepared substrates using the matching surface-mount steel base plate.
