Where to Buy Greenwood Fence and How Nationwide Shipping Works

You do not have to live near Greenwood Fence to plan a Greenwood project. Homeowners, contractors and businesses can explore several buying routes, depending on whether they need materials, help finding an installer or a retailer-based purchase.

The main options are to contact Greenwood directly, connect with a local installer through our network or shop eligible products through The Home Depot. The ordering route matters because product selection, delivery options and installation arrangements may differ.

Start With the Way You Want to Build

Before comparing buying options, decide who will install the fence. A homeowner looking for a complete installation has different needs from a contractor ordering components for a planned job.

Our How to Buy page outlines the available routes. Use it as a starting point, then confirm the details for your location, design and material selection.

Buy Directly From Greenwood Fence

Direct inquiries are a practical route when you want help reviewing a layout, comparing materials or putting together a project-specific order. Contractors and DIY buyers can discuss the components their fence requires rather than trying to select every part independently.

Start with the approximate length of each fence run, your preferred height and design, and the number and size of gate openings. A drawing can make it easier to identify corners, ends, transitions and access requirements.

You can also request samples before choosing a finish. Evaluate the sample alongside the exterior materials and landscaping at your own property instead of relying only on a screen image.

Find a Local Installer Through the Greenwood Network

If you need installation as well as materials, search Greenwood’s installer and supplier network for contacts near your project.

Ask the local business what its proposal includes: site measurement, materials, delivery, installation, existing-fence removal and any permit-related work. Confirm its service area and availability directly. A directory listing does not mean every business offers every service or keeps every configuration in stock.

Greenwood’s inquiry process distinguishes Illinois installation inquiries from projects outside Illinois, where buyers should arrange a local contractor. Nationwide material shipping and nationwide installation are different services.

Order Eligible Products Through The Home Depot

Select Greenwood products are also available through The Home Depot. Our Home Depot ordering page explains the retailer route, including delivery to a residence or jobsite and local-store pickup options for eligible orders.

The  Home Depot program lists eligible shipping to 26 states and uses LTL freight from Greenwood’s Addison, Illinois facility. That retailer service area should not be confused with Greenwood’s broader direct-order shipping offering.

Check the selected listing and delivery ZIP code before purchasing. Confirm which components are included, whether the desired product can be delivered or picked up, and the applicable return process. Do not assume an online listing means the item is stocked on a nearby store shelf.

How to Plan a Nationwide Material Order

Greenwood offers nationwide material shipping. Exact eligibility, freight pricing and timing should be confirmed for your order and delivery address before you commit to an installation date.

For a direct-order quote, provide:

  • The delivery ZIP code and site type: identify whether the destination is a home, business or jobsite.
  • The fence layout: include run lengths, corners, height changes and gate openings.
  • Your selections: note the design, infill material, color and preferred height.
  • The project timeline: distinguish your preferred installation date from a confirmed delivery date.
  • Access information: mention narrow roads, restricted entrances or other conditions the delivery provider should review.

Greenwood’s shipping and return policy describes LTL freight shipments and asks buyers to have a clear receiving area ready. Inspect the packages and materials for damage or shortages before signing for the shipment. If inspection is not possible at delivery, the policy instructs buyers to mark the shipping documents “Subject to Inspection” and contact Greenwood promptly. Photograph wrong or damaged products and contact the team for instructions.

Before dispatch, also confirm who will receive the order, the unloading arrangements and any special delivery services required. Review the return conditions for your purchasing route before ordering, especially for custom or special-order products.

Keep Ordering, Delivery and Installation Connected

A good purchasing plan includes the installer early. Have the layout and component list reviewed before placing the order, and make sure someone can receive and check the materials before installation begins.

Avoid promising a crew a start date based only on an estimated shipping window. Confirm product availability and delivery arrangements first, especially when the fence includes gates or a less common configuration.

Find the Right Buying Route for Your Greenwood Project

If you already have an installer, direct material ordering may be the simplest conversation to start. If you need installation, begin with the network. If you prefer buying through a retailer, review the eligible Home Depot products and delivery options.
