Commercial (HP) Surface Mount Base Plate
The Greenwood Fence (GWF®) surface-mount steel base plate is engineered for the 4-inch Commercial (HP) Post within the Modular Composite Fence and Gate System. Constructed from galvanized steel with a matte black powder coat finish for corrosion resistance in exterior conditions, the base measures 6 inches square with four 1/2 inch mounting holes for anchoring to concrete slabs, patios, and other prepared substrates. A 2-inch square by 24-inch integrated steel rod extends from the plate and seats directly into the inner chamber of the 4-inch double-chambered HP aluminum post, secured with the four included 5/16 inch self-tapping post-attachment screws. The extended 24-inch rod height provides deep structural engagement into the HP post to handle the increased load and wind resistance requirements of commercial applications and fence heights up to 8 feet above grade. No welding is required. Concrete expansion bolts (1/2 inch) for slab mounting are sold separately, sized to the specific substrate conditions. The result is a rigid, load-bearing connection between the post and the substrate that maintains full modular compatibility with the surrounding fence system. This base plate is specific to the 4-inch Commercial (HP) Post; the 2-3/4 inch Standard Post uses a dedicated Standard base plate. Engineered in Addison, Illinois.
