Standard Surface Mount Base Plate
The Greenwood Fence (GWF®) surface-mount steel base plate is engineered for the 2-3/4 inch Standard Post within the Modular Composite Fence and Gate System. Constructed from galvanized steel for corrosion resistance in exterior conditions, the base measures 4-3/4 inches square with a 3/8 inch plate thickness and features four 5/16 inch mounting holes for anchoring to concrete slabs, patios, decks, and other prepared substrates. A 1-3/16 inch square by 12-inch integrated steel rod extends from the plate and seats directly into the inner chamber of the 2-3/4 inch double-chambered aluminum post, secured with the included post-attachment screw through a 1/2 inch through-hole. No welding is required. Concrete anchor screws for slab mounting are sold separately. The result is a clean, precise, load-bearing connection between the post and the substrate that maintains full modular compatibility with the surrounding fence system. This base plate is specific to the 2-3/4 inch Standard Post; the 4-inch Commercial (HP) Post uses a dedicated HP base plate. Engineered in Addison, Illinois.
