Bottom or Mid Rail, 6 Feet, Matte Black Aluminum

The Greenwood Fence (GWF®) Bottom Rail is a matte black powder-coated aluminum extrusion engineered for base or mid-rail use within the Modular Composite Fence and Gate System. Manufactured from 6063-T5 architectural-grade aluminum with an AAMA powder coating, the profile measures 3/4 inch wide by 1-1/2 inches tall over a 6-foot standard length. A dual-purpose tongue-and-groove design allows the same profile to serve two structural roles: an integrated 1/4 inch wide locator tongue rises from the top of the profile to seat into the receiving slot above, while a matching groove on the underside receives the tongue of a rail below. This makes the Bottom Rail deployable as the base rail of a standard panel or as a mid rail in stacked configurations for custom panel heights, reducing part count without sacrificing structural precision. A single interior channel with symmetrical infill-retention features runs the full length of the profile to secure composite, vinyl, or aluminum infill boards. Compatible with both the 2-3/4 inch Standard Post and the 4-inch Commercial (HP) Post. Sold as a single 6-foot length; the matching Top Rail is available separately. Engineered in Addison, Illinois.
