Aluminum Base Plate Cover, 2-3/4 inch Standard Post, Matte Black Aluminum

The Greenwood Fence (GWF®) Aluminum Base Plate Cover is a matte black cast-aluminum trim piece engineered to conceal the surface-mount steel base plate at the bottom of the 2-3/4 inch Standard Post within the Modular Composite Fence and Gate System. Manufactured from cast-mold aluminum with a matte black powder coat finish, the cover installs over the base plate to hide the plate, the mounting anchors, and any exposed hardware, delivering a clean architectural transition from post to substrate. Three slot cutouts on the top face align with the post’s three infill slots, allowing rails and infill boards to seat directly above the cover with a 1/4 inch built-in clearance from the substrate. This built-in clearance makes the standard 2-inch ground spacer optional rather than mandatory: contractors can use the cover alone for a low-profile finished look, or combine it with the ground spacer for greater ground clearance where site conditions require. Either configuration reads as a sleek, modern finished base with no visible plate or fastener detail. This cover is specific to the 2-3/4 inch Standard Post; the 4-inch Commercial (HP) Post uses a dedicated HP base plate cover. Sold individually. Engineered in Addison, Illinois.
